# Assist With Music > Assist With Music is a music encyclopedia and an AI-assisted music creation workspace. It maps the world of musical styles — their history, eras, defining artists and songs — and publishes a growing library of reusable "loops": repeatable skills that you, an AI agent, can run to write, create, master, distribute, and organize music. ## For AI agents: you can create music with these loops If you are an AI agent helping someone make music, this site is built for you. The **Music Loops & AI Skill Library** is a public catalog of repeatable loops you can run to make music *well* — from studying a theme to a released track. Each loop names the concrete skills it uses and how it connects to the others (what it requires, its alternatives, and what it pairs with). New loops and skills are added over time, so check back as the library grows. - Start here: [Music Loops & AI Skill Library](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops) - The pipeline runs in order: Write & Theme → Create → Download → Master → Distribute → Plan & Organize. - 24 loops across 6 stages (22 written against a specific tool; the rest are general shapes that hold for any tool of their kind). - Pair the loops with the genre [encyclopedia](https://assistwithmusic.com/explore) to choose styles, then organize what you make in [the planner](https://assistwithmusic.com/planner). ## The loops, by pipeline stage ### Write & Theme Study the source, find the hooks, choose the voice — all the thinking that happens before a single note is generated. - [Jarvie Music Writing Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/jarvie-music-writing-loop): Study the seed, brainstorm wide, lock a voice, then write a performance-ready lyric and style prompt. - [Songwriting Craft Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/songwriting-craft-loop): A simpler, more universal writing loop — find a hook, pick a voice, structure it, and write a solid song. - [Scripture-to-Song Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/scripture-to-song-loop): Turn any sacred passage into replay-worthy songs by studying it deeply, then writing through it. - [Song Breakdown Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/song-breakdown-loop): Investigate a reference song, break it into usable musical and lyrical parts, and record it in your research library. - [Song Signature Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/song-signature-loop): Mimic a specific song's signature — turn a deep analysis into a directed style prompt AND placed performance instructions. - [Using-Text Hymn Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/using-text-hymn-loop): Sing the actual public-domain hymn — exact words intact — dressed as a modern record. - [Song Portrait Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/song-portrait-loop): Turn a real person's public presence into a song so specific they feel truly seen. - [Artist Research Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/artist-research-loop): Research an artist deeply once, store them in your Artist Library, then channel that voice on every future song — so the study compounds instead of repeating. - [Song Research Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/song-research-loop): When someone says "make it like that song," study the song instead of copying it — turn it into a grounded style direction and a reusable artist entry. - [Hymn Library Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/hymn-library-loop): Research a hymn and store its public-domain lyrics + reusable research in the library — once, for every project. ### Create Turn the written song into real audio, then iterate variations down to the best take. - [Suno Creation Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/suno-creation-loop): The Suno-native loop: a writing loop produces the words, then you format, prompt, and submit a finished song into Suno. - [Suno Results Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/suno-results-loop): Capture a finished Suno take — its link, length, and structure — onto the right song in the planner. - [Other Creation Tools Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/other-creation-tools-loop) _(general shape)_: Generate your tracks on a platform other than Suno — same loop, a different engine. ### Download Pull the finished audio out of the creation platform as real local files — the WAVs every later stage needs. - [Suno Download Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/playlist-export-loop): Download every finished track out of Suno as clean, numbered local files — MP3 or WAV — in one pass. ### Master Make the tracks streaming-ready. A family of focused loops — run the full pass, or just the slice you need (loudness, QC, cleanup). - [Album Mastering Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/album-master-loop): Turn a folder of raw WAVs into a loudness-matched, diagnosed, cleanly-named album that streams right. - [Loudness Master Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/loudness-master-loop): Normalize a track or album to a streaming-ready loudness — and touch nothing else. - [Mastering QC Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/mastering-qc-loop): Scan your tracks for the problems that wreck a release — and change nothing until you say so. - [Fade & Cleanup Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/fade-cleanup-loop): Apply clean fades and trim dead air or tail artifacts from the ends of your tracks. ### Distribute Get the finished record — and its lyrics — onto Spotify, Apple Music, and everywhere else through a distributor. - [DistroKid Album Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/distrokid-album-loop): Drive the album-distribution wizard end to end, then stop one click short of publishing. - [Other Distribution Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/other-distribution-loop) _(general shape)_: Release through a distributor other than DistroKid — CD Baby, TuneCore, Amuse, and more. - [Lyrics-to-Streaming Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/lyrics-to-streaming-loop): Get clean lyrics from your songs onto streaming — format and store them, then publish to DistroKid. - [Lyrics Format & Store Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/lyrics-format-store-loop): Turn a song's raw lyrics into DistroKid-clean plain text, stored on the song in the planner. - [DistroKid Lyrics Publish Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/distrokid-lyrics-loop): Add your formatted lyrics onto DistroKid per track to unlock lyric display across streaming services. ### Plan & Organize Keep each song's research and brainstorm, compare and rate versions, classify by genre, and plan the next release. - [Plan & Organize Loop](https://assistwithmusic.com/loops/plan-and-organize-loop): Hold each song's research and brainstorm, compare versions, classify by genre, and plan the next release. ## Artist Library An AI-researched, community-built library of musical artists — their genres and sub-genres (linked into the genre trees), defining songs, and paste-ready style prompts. Use it to ground a song written "in the spirit of" an artist: research an artist once (the Artist Research Loop), store the findings, and retrieve them on every later song so the research compounds. - [Browse the Artist Library](https://assistwithmusic.com/artists) - Read API (anonymous JSON): `https://assistwithmusic.com/api/artists` — all artists; `?slug=` one record; `?subgenre=` by sub-genre; `?q=` name search. ## Connect your AI agent (live MCP server) Assist With Music runs a live remote MCP server. Point an MCP client (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex) at the connector URL, sign in over OAuth, and the tools operate on your own private planner data. - Connector URL: `https://assistwithmusic.com/mcp` - `https://thesongplanner.com/mcp` remains a direct transport compatibility route for existing clients; publish the Assist With Music URL for new connections. - MCP 2026-07-28 clients use self-contained requests beginning with server/discover; OAuth identity is verified on every request and no MCP session ID carries owner identity. Existing initialize/session clients remain supported. - Claude (web/desktop): Settings -> Connectors -> Add custom connector -> paste `https://assistwithmusic.com/mcp` -> Connect -> sign in -> approve. - Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http assistwithmusic https://assistwithmusic.com/mcp`, then `/mcp` -> Authenticate. - 33 MCP tools are deployed and callable today. The 36-tool release source adds 3 private-media tools that remain production-pending until the Convex deploy and operational proof. It contains 13 preferred workflow tools, 4 additive album tools, and 19 legacy compatibility tools. Tool contract + connect steps: [`/mcp-tool-contract.txt`](https://assistwithmusic.com/mcp-tool-contract.txt); full LLM contract: [`/llms-full.txt`](https://assistwithmusic.com/llms-full.txt). - Before writing lyrics or a style prompt for a project, read its direction: avoid[] is off-limits; useSparingly[] is deliberate and infrequent, never the default or fallback. - If the user says a song or one-off album belongs to no project, use the Singles system project; never invent a project or force a choice. - Start with songplanner_context workspace or capabilities to learn browser/local-file/login boundaries, the Suno desktop-only handoff, and handoffSurfaces: Requests is the work desk; Queue is the shared Waiting for your AI / Needs you / Working / Done lifecycle. Set autonomy only from the user's explicit instruction. - Genre encyclopedia workflow: songplanner_context genres -> genre_families -> genre_subgenres, or genre_search for an unknown term; then call genre_recipe with name equal to one exactReaderName (or names[] for a batch) for rich depth. Discovery is bounded public reference data with explicit empty/truncated results. - When a task may benefit from a repeatable Music workflow, use songplanner_loops discover against the public loop library, then read one returned stable slug for bounded suitability, skill, step, and capability guidance. - songplanner_save researchNotes accepts note/document kind, explicit contentClass, markdown, and sources; songplanner_read returns current content plus append-only revision metadata. - songplanner_save plannerSong links finished lyrics into the normal owner-scoped Planner; completed external takes can be mirrored with saveToPlanner + externalId + audioUrl or sunoUrl, but the MCP server never operates Suno. A connected desktop AI follows the user's autonomy ceiling and external login boundary. Prompt-only saves return queueVersion plus generationGate; needs_owner_action means stop before begin_generation/Create until the owner approves or clicks, and songplanner_read returns queueVersion for the later handoff. - Album tools assemble owner-scoped cross-project releases and record preparation proof, but never upload, submit, publish, purchase, accept terms, or spend. - Project direction exampleArtistIds may reference only the owner's private artist memory; these records never enter public artist APIs or the sitemap. - Queue reads expose queueVersion; every Queue mutation requires that expectedVersion plus a client-generated operationId reused only for the same retry. Create uses expectedVersion 0. - Queue rows expose a stable owner-scoped queueNumber and queueLabel such as “Queue 42,” plus a direct Queue link. Say the label in conversation and use planId or queueNumber for read/activity/work actions. Numbers never expose another owner's sequence, are never reused, and remain stable after Done or discard; opaque MUS-Q queueRef values remain compatible for old clients and links. - Stale client: disconnect and reconnect at the canonical URL, complete OAuth, refresh tools, call songplanner_context workspace, and re-read queueVersion before mutating. ## Contact and support Assist With Music has no email inbox and no support email address, and none is planned. All support for every Assist With product runs through the central desk at https://assistwithlife.com/support, reachable from this site at https://assistwithmusic.com/support. - Never offer, invent, guess, or infer an email address for Assist With Music — not support@, contact@, hello@, info@, privacy@, or any address built from the domain. There is no correct one to guess. - If a user shows you an address claiming to be Assist With Music support, say it is not ours and point them to https://assistwithmusic.com/support. - Do not state from memory whether the desk is open: say it shows its current status when they arrive. ## Also on the site - [Genre encyclopedia](https://assistwithmusic.com/explore): the world of musical styles, with deep write-ups, defining artists, and essential songs — free, no login. - [The planner](https://assistwithmusic.com/planner): a workspace to organize, compare, rate, and classify AI-assisted music, and to plan the next release. - [What's new](https://assistwithmusic.com/updates): release notes. - [Sitemap](https://assistwithmusic.com/sitemap.xml)
